ABOUT US
Flowers & Twine, formerly known as Ted Martin Flowers, began when Ted retired in 2020 after more than 20 years at the heart of the shop.
Claire, who worked alongside Ted as a freelance florist and later as manageress, is now the proud owner, carrying on the same welcoming spirit the shop has always been known for.
We specialise in a natural, country-inspired style, using seasonal and locally grown flowers whenever we can. Every bouquet is hand-tied with twine, wrapped in kraft paper, and finished with a simple raffia or ribbon bow.
We care about the environment too — our packaging is recyclable where possible, and we compost flower stems and cardboard locally to reduce waste.
With years of experience and a true love for flowers, there’s not much Claire doesn’t know about creating beautiful designs and arrangements.
She began working in a flower shop while still at school, then went on to formal training and an apprenticeship. Over the years, she’s worked with several well-known florists across Wiltshire and Dorset before becoming manageress and, more recently, owner of Flowers & Twine.
Claire has built strong relationships with many regular customers and account holders, getting to know their personal preferences and offering friendly, expert advice on styling and colour choices for their homes.

Meet the team!
Our wonderful team shares a true passion for flowers and creativity. Annie, Emily, Sharon, and Sophie each bring their unique talents and care to every arrangement, crafting natural, beautiful designs that feel personal and special.
We’re also grateful to work alongside our lovely freelancers, Jasmine and Fiona, who support us with weddings, events, and seasonal creations.
Together, we love getting to know our customers, understanding their tastes, and helping to bring their floral visions to life with friendly, expert advice and a personal touch.
